Powder Coating

FMF can powder coat products upto 7m in length and with widths upto 0.8m and heights of upto 2m using any RAL, BS4800, BS381C, Pantone or bespoke colour in any gloss level.

Epoxy:

Epoxy powder coatings are recommended for use in interior situations where toughness, chemical resistance, and good mechanical resistance properties are essential. The protective properties of epoxy powder coatings are not impaired by exterior exposure, but chalking will occur progressively.

Applications include:

• Laboratory fittings and fixtures
• Machine Tools
• Indoor Sports and Recreational Equipment
• Industrial Racking Systems
• Electrical cabinets, components and hardware.

Epoxy Powders are also available as ANTIQUE FINISHES in Gold, Silver Or Bronze and provide a highly decorative hammer type finish that is not only aesthetically pleasing but can mask product surface imperfections.

Nap-Gard® Fusion Bonded Epoxy Powders Nap-Gard Fusion Bonded Epoxy Powders from Dupont are designed to coat oil & gas distribution pipelines & reinforcing steel rebar to provide maximum corrosion protection. In addition, they exhibit excellent hardness and abrasion resistance as well as coping admirably with the often difficult site conditions encountered by providing an excellent resistance to direct impact & backfilling.

Polyester

Polyester powder coating is recommended for general exterior situations, where good weathering resistance is required. A specialised grade is available for architectural.

Automotive Matt Black FMF stocks a range of matt black polyester powders specially formulated to meet the rigorous performance requirements of the automotive industry and OEM. Typical applications include exterior trim, underbody components, bumpers, windscreen wipers etc.

Polyester Powders can also be specified in a HAMMER finish.

Epoxy-polyester (hybrid)

Epoxy-polyester powder coatings are recommended for use in interior situations where toughness, chemical resistance, and good mechanical resistance properties are essential. Epoxy polyester powder coatings also offer good colour stability and excellent decorative appearance and are not impaired by exterior exposure, although chalking will occur progressively

Polyurethane

Polyurethane powder coatings are designed for exterior applications where lower film builds with superior flow are important. Specialised versions are available where high surface hardness is required, e.g. anti-vandal coatings, stain resistant coatings. These coatings are widely used in the petrochemical industry.

Nylon

Nylon Modified powders are used where extreme abrasion, corrosion and solvent resistance in a highly cosmetic finish is required. Nylon coatings resist a broad range of chemical and corrosive environments, are inert to fungus growth and are highly stain resistant. Nylon is also very good in applications where friction reducing is desired.
